WHO WE ARE
I, Vikki Driscoll and my partner Chris Farrar are both qualified care managers and experienced operators. We are also proud parents of a little boy called Morgan.
Together we acquired "The Holt Retirement Home" in June 2011.
Our aim is to provide a "family run" home that is relaxed, happy, secure, and encourages a lifestyle that affords each resident the maximum level of independence, privacy, dignity and respect. Our previous home was registered for 30 residents, and classified by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as a "Good" home.
Our private dementia retirement home has a good reputation and has been providing residential dementia, respite and day care for many years.
We continually strive to improve and provide the highest levels of care for the residents. We are devoted to provide a truly person centred care service.
Being a relatively small care home, registered for 22 dementia residents only, our goal is to provide the type of care usually found in families.
That is why our food is sourced locally, with fresh vegetables, fish and meat delivered daily by local providers. Our home cook has been with us for many years and takes great pride in baking and cooking "home-style" food which the residents have enjoyed.
The Holt Retirement Home is a grade II listed building and lies in the beautiful village of Hutton Buscel which dates back to the Domesday Book of 1086. The Home stands in well maintained landscaped gardens which are used for activities and relaxation for our residents. |

Our patio area is a popular sitting and meeting place during the summer months with our residents. Here they can view and hear birds, bees and butterflies in the garden. We can be found opposite the church of St. Matthew which was first completed c.1127 founded by Reginald Buscel. |
